Phoebe is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and the founder of Theraperspectives Counseling.
She wanted to provide a space where individuals could feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported in the complexity of their lived experiences. This practice was created with an intention to provide thoughtful, individualized care for clients who may have felt overlooked, misunderstood, or disconnected from traditional approaches to mental health support.
The name Theraperspectives reflects the belief that healing happens when perspectives are shaped (and reshaped)—through the understandings of ourselves, our experiences, our relationships, and the world around us. Through therapy, clients can develop new insight, reconnect with themselves, and create meaningful change while honoring the experiences that have shaped who they are.
Phoebe's clinical work is informed by ongoing training in EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and other relational approaches. She supports adults navigating trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, cultural identity, and relationship dynamics, with particular interest in working with first- and second-generation Asian American individuals, multicultural clients, and those navigating questions of identity, belonging, and family expectations.
Phoebe takes a client-centered and collaborative approach where clients can explore emotional patterns, strengthen emotional regulation, and develop a deeper understanding of themselves.
Her experience over the years has included settings in detox, residential, PHP, IOP, MAT, and ketamine-assisted therapy. However, other experiences involved supporting individuals across the lifespan experiencing substance use disorders, complex PTSD, anxiety, depression, multicultural and generational issues, and challenges related to emotional regulation and relationships.
All of Phoebe's experiences shaped her understanding of neurodivergence, behavior, and the importance of viewing each person within the context of their environment, relationships, and experiences. Her own experience as a client in trauma-focused therapy has also influenced her approach, deepening her appreciation for the vulnerability, courage, and trust involved in the therapeutic process of becoming.
